We use Paignton as our base of operations. We dedicate a couple of days to Paignton itself, take the steam train and have a day in Dartmouth, take the bus to Brixham for the day and usually visit the zoo. There are great walks all around.

Typical seaside town with lots of tacky shops for the tourists. Lots of dining options, lots for kids to do/play areas by the sea front. Still love the trains going through the centre and stopping the shoppers when they pass through.

Some wonderful places to eat, Henry's Bar for one and Local Thai were excellent. Local markets at the harbour. Cinema with 10 screens and a good choice of films. Plenty for children to do in the children's area.

Lots of family things to door, amazing pier arcades, cinema, crazy golf, shops, restaurants all five minutes walk away from hotel.
"Breakfast was excellent. Bar meal was good but not great selection. Main Restaurant was too expensive. The room was great, very comfortable. the Seaview was obscured bey vegetation, but after some discussion, the gardener cut the offending vegetation back which mad the view perfect."
"The rooms were clean and well serviced. The bed was solid and comfy. The staff were very helpful. I saw people have had issues with the water pressure in the showers. I waited about twenty seconds for the pump to kick in and it was a great shower.
Comments about the walls being thin. On the first night I had nightmare neighbours. But Steve promptly dealt with them and no more noise. Simples. I was there for 5 nights. Had different, more courteous neighbours during the rest of my stay. No issues. Cheers guys. I'll see you again if working in the area. 👍. Keep up the good work. Damian "
