"Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning the room daily. However, there were some maintenance items that needed attention. Half of the plug receptacles in the room were inoperable. The frosted glass wall between the bathroom and room was very pretty. However when anyone got up in the middle of the night to use the toilet, the lights shined right through and lit up the entire room. All of the staff were very friendly and very helpful. They made our stay pleasant. The daily breakfast buffet had a wonderful selection of dishes and fresh juices. Everything was delicious. The bar and restaurant at the pool had good drinks and food. However, I did not like the policy of no outside food or drinks when sitting at the pool. So if you purchased something from the coffee/snack shop you could not take it to the pool area. Additionally, after spending a day in/at the pool, we were told we could not take the towel out of the pool area. Couldn’t take a piece of fruit out of the breakfast buffet. Too many restrictive rules. The employees acted like they were the police at every area of the hotel. When I questioned one of them asking why they are acting like the police, he replied that he would get in trouble if he let anything slip. It appeared he was being watched. Not just him, but all of the employees. I was not intentionally trying to break any rules. I have stayed at many other Riu Resorts in different countries and I did not feel like we were policed everywhere like at this resort."

"A comfortable hotel with all the needed modern day amenities. I was particularly impressed with the pleasant nature of the staff despite a present language barrier. Brenda from the housekeeping team was truly amazing for the entire trip and made the stay even better for my travel party. Special mention should be made of the breakfast service which was exceptional morning after morning."

"The staff were always friendly and helpful! We did not have a bad meal the entire time! It is also refreshing that the staff do not have their heads in their cell phones…. They are there to work! Truly a pleasurable experience! In addition, the restaurant managers always came by the table to ask how the food and service was!"

"Nice place for a 1 night stay. Nothing fancy. Rooms and hotel a little outdated but the breakfast was good. So a nice place for a 1 night stay during a layover."

"The best of this property is the customer services from the " Schedule Bus Driver ( they help me to advocate on my behalf with my rental car company) to the people that work in their restaurant.... so polite... so eager to help... it is AMAZING... the host (Odilia) help be to peel my boil egg... how does that... it is my favorite hotel to stay for years (15 years) whenever I leave Panama.."

"The room telephone was not operational. I asked the front desk for assistance twice, and it was never resolved. I was trying to order room service. So I had to walk downstairs each time I wanted service instead of having it delivered to my room. I wasn't happy about that."
