"My room was nice and clean, a staff member working the lobby did not permit one of my guests who lives in Guadalajara to come up to my room unless I registered her which was not only embarassing but also very upsetting. The breakfast selections and quality were average. The roof top bar was excellent."

"We only stayed one night in Puerto Vallarta before heading to Nuevo Vallarta. The Tropicana was nice, we booked a superior room withe pool view but to our surprise was also a partial ocean view. We did not use the pool since it was raining that evening. We look forward to staying there again for a longer stay in the future since we loved how close the hotel is to the ocean."

"It was a really beautiful resort in a really beautiful area. I think it lacks information on restaurants and entertainment. I found as a foreigner it was better accustomed to the locals. Which is nice to see but I have been at far cheaper resorts with much better entertainment."
