"Nothing special about this resort, it seems to be mainly for Chinese tourist groups. We were the only two European tourists staying there and it was eerily quiet after breakfast when the Chinese groups had left. Hotel was quite old and run down, not renovated for a while. "The Centara Riverside provides good value for money, excellent service and very good facilities including a great outdoor pool. The hotel is a 10-15 minute Grab ride from the action at the centre of Chiang Mai. But our tours, one out of town and the other Mama Noi cooking class provided transportation from the Hotel. This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Centara Riverside and our 3rd stay at a hotel in the Centara chain. So, yes, we recommend it highly."

"The room and the hotel is extremely clean! The staff is friendly, helpful and kind. The walls are a bit thin so you can hear when someone arrives to their room even in the middle of the night, so light sleepers/jet lagged people be aware! Also, they don’t have a microwave so if you are hoping to warm up your takeout after a long day, you will have to eat it cold. You are welcome."
