Room is simple with matress, small ground table, A/C. Not much soundproof. No elevator & need to use stiff stairs. Host seems living in 1st floor. Use key to open/close room. Place is located on the side of small car road, not inside. Search '清舎' on google map."

"Amazing room, especially for the price, even as a solo traveller. Would definitely recommend (and have done to friends and family already). Great location, can see the deer from the window. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Basically an apartment, with a hob to cook on, a washing machine, just amazing. I can praise highly enough. Wish I could have stayed longer, and will definitely return if I ever go to Japan again."

"My wife and I loved our time at this property. It has a very cute garden where we would sit and have tea. We also enjoyed the art display in the living room, which was all made by the host’s mother. The property is in an area away from the city where we could get a taste of everyday life in Japan, so we were delighted every time we walked to and from the train stations. "The staff were very friendly, the location was perfect and very quiet at night. The only minor complaint would be the curtains are not entirely blackout, but that’s probably a good thing as it gets you up early in the morning when the crowds in the park are minimal. The A/C in our unit seemed to struggle to keep up making the upstairs bunk beds a little warmer, something to consider if you are traveling in Japans hot summers."

"It was probably best choice I made as really close to Nara park with all deer that can be polite but scary at same time. Worth the experience. I want say the traditional style was amazing be prepared as all stairs . Amenities like private bath traditional style ice machine on fist floor and massage chairs. And when you check out want explore can leave luggage in massage chair room until ready go next destination. I high recommend and come back."
