Top Outer Banks Hotel Reviews
Shutters on the Banks
8/10 Good
"It’s right on the water but houses different views. We booked a 2 queen dune room and found it comfortable but the bathroom is very small. The staff were great and it offers a nice little breakfast. The walkway to the beach is smooth enough to pull a cart or walk. The gazebo gives a great view of the ocean and the convenience of two pools was even a plus. Lots of small shops and places to eat near by. We would stay again."
Ocean Sands Beach Boutique Inn - Stay At the Beach
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent property but I did like like the Video check-in. It would be great for late checking but a spookle spooky otherwise"
Dolphin Oceanfront Motel

"My all time favorite spot in OBX."
The Sanderling
8/10 Good
"The hits: Great location with great beach access. The adult pool is nice and relaxing. The beach staff was great. The Theodosia restaurant was delicious. The misses: The Sandbar and Lifesaving Station food was mediocre. We went to the pool and two of the three times, there were no towels to be found and we had difficulty finding an employee to find us some towels. In our shower, one of the levers was not properly attached to the wall and the bathroom fan/vent did not work. One of the wall sockets in our room was not properly attached and would pull out when we would remove a plug. I asked the front desk for some silverware/plasticware and they could not find any."
John Yancey Oceanfront Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Love being able to walk straight from my hotel room onto the beach!"
Sea Ranch Resort
10/10 Excellent
"The convenience of staying at Sea Ranch Resort with an ocean view room, beach access, and restaurant on property was excellent. The cleanliness of room was horrible. Linen was dirty with hair, lipstick, and stains. Lamps were dirty and dusty. Tub was stained but looked dirty. For $386/night I really expected a much cleaner room. Although housekeeping was gone for the day, a nice young lady on staff came to change our linen. Elevator was not working so we had to use the dirty staff elevator. The stay here is really more about convenience. If you expect cleanliness stay elsewhere."
