"Because we booked 3 rd party, we were put in a bldg with no elevator. 3 flights of stairs with luggage is no fun. Asked to extend a day but were told we would have to move rooms. No thanks."

"We had a wonderful weekend getaway to the OBX and once again stayed at the HGI (my wife's favorite). Our deluxe room was clean and comfortable. The only negative thing we can say is that the HVAC system in the room is extremely loud and that it disturbs our sleep when it turns on and off during the night. Raven at the front desk was friendly and efficient at check-in and when I reported a leaky sink in the room. Rates are a bit pricey, but so is everything else these days."

"Check in went smoothly, lady was very friendly and social. The room was nice and clean. The only complaint was the double beds seem smaller than normal and the bed was too soft for me. I like a firmer bed. Next time, I will know to book queen beds. The shower had good pressure. The WiFi was very good. I enjoyed the breakfast, it was not a hot bar, but it had plenty of different choices. They had coffee and tea 24 hours, which was nice! The location was across the road from the beach there was a...
