"The location is amazing. The staff were very helpful and kind. À la carte breakfast was a good value. The room was a perfect size, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was perfect—with glass as the top part of the walls, I hardly had to turn on a bathroom light. The fast hot water made the day melt away. Plenty of counter space on the sink was a big plus. Good hairdryer. The small chairs in the room were surprisingly comfortable. The whole place was efficient and comfy. I loved that my morning coffee at Motx was a 3 minute walk and you could literally stumble back from a night of Pintxos if that’s your thing.
The downsides: though they give photo directions for driving there, they didn’t mention anything about the right turn up the hill to the hotel. I was driving at night and it felt super sketchy. My room had a window that faced a stone wall. It was a lovely stone wall, covered in lush ferns, but still…a wall. The bed was a bit firm and it was two singles pushed together so would have been a bit awkward had I been traveling with my partner. I had no cell reception in my room, so when the whole of Old Town lost its internet, I had no connectivity inside the hotel. I wondered why they had earplugs in the room until I realized how thin the walls are. Thankfully it’s a block from the tapas spots, so not too much street noise.
Lots of Americans stayed there.
