Air Conditioner was broke and not working the first night but they brought us a fan which helped and they fixed it the next morning. Breakfast was great the first morning and went downhill from there- $8.00 per person. Probably not worth it but the coffee was good. No cafe near by. Shower great. Staff helpful. Old building in not a very pretty area but safe enough. Elevator helpful for luggage. Great restaurants on the beach. "
"We were not familiar and it took a minute to locate as the entrance is not facing the street. Once we found it, Giuliani checked us right in and set up a parking valet for us. She helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room. Beautiful building with great history. Rooms were quiet and clean. The Manager, Domenico was an absolute treat and made us feel right at home. I can’t wait to go back. Grazie Mille, Lanterne Magiche! You have earned guests for a lifetime. "

"This is an outstanding resort hotel right in the heart of Ortigia, the beautiful historic center of Syracuse, Sicily. The hotel is full of light and you'll be mesmerized by waking up with the azure of the sky and the Mediterranean Sea in front of view, enchanted by the reflection of the sunshine. "The hotel is very central in the main town of Siracusa. Plenty of good restaurants on the doorstep and only ten minute walk from the station. Ortigia only a 15 minute walk away. The bathroom facilities and room decor are slightly old fashioned but all working fine. "
"Really cool modern hotel with robot butlers. Fun idea but a little scary! Another good idea was their honesty bars, saves on paying staff I assume!
The spa was brilliant, well priced for all day access. The food was really tasty for breakfast and it’s on until 11am. Perfect tor lazy chilled days, they left rose petals on our bed as it was our honeymoon which was a lovely touch. It was a 35 minute walk from the centre of Syracuse and taxis are squirt expensive, there is a bus but we didn’t bother with it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Roof bar was chilled out. The private balcony only had two lounger chair and two of us stayed. I’d suggest having too to encourage more usage. "
