Hotels near Ocean Beach

"This property was described as “exceptional” and the photos looked great. Unfortunately when we checked in we were met with the opposite experience. It’s described as a hotel and it is definitely a motel. The rooms are TINY and smelled like old dirty mop. I explained all of this to the staff and they were very sweet but there wasn’t much they could do. We were moved to an accessible room for more space but the room itself was “updated” but you can clearly tell maintenance took short cuts. No ventilation in the bathroom and hot showers made the fire alarm go off. Overall not great I wouldn’t stay again."

"Second time staying here and its a nice place. However, some maintenance is needed. Like faucets in showers just falling off when you turn them on. We were there with another family and their room had the exact same issue"

"It’s a motel in what felt like a safe area. The included breakfast is nothing to write home about. Staff was helpful and prompt. There are some decent restaurants and a coffee shop close by in walking distance. Parking is pretty limited so if they’re sold out then I don’t know what they would do, wasn’t a problem"

"The location cannot be beat: the inn is right at the cliffs, overlooking the Pacific. We stayed on the second floor in a larger room with two bedrooms and were very comfortable. The room was clean and well appointed and the staff was wonderful. There's a heated pool on the property with basketball hoops, so our kids spent hours playing. In the morning, we walked from the hotel all the way to the Sunset Cliffs Natural Park -- what a vacation!"
