"Great service and prime location. The location is unbeatable and very accessible. The staff were highly attentive, and our room was kept spotlessly clean. Like most hotels in Japan, the room was on the smaller side for two adults and two kids, but it worked for us. They offer luggage service if you are traveling so you don’t have to haul your luggage to the next hotel. That service was very helpful and it made things easier since we were traveling with kids. We really enjoyed our stay. The great service and convenience made it a wonderful experience."

"I loved my stay at this hotel! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a beautiful, welcoming environment. The staff are helpful and kind. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very spacious! The public baths were a big highlight of my stay too! So relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Thank you for a wonderful stay. "We love staying here. The location is excellent!!! Basically walking distance everywhere. The hotel itself is beautiful, feels peaceful even when packed with people. There is a rather large and comfy seating area in the lobby. They have coffee and tea available all day. The breakfast is the absolute best and not to be missed. Very convenient way to fuel right before taking those 20k steps all over Kyoto. They provide umbrellas for rainy days. I think they have bikes as well. The bedrooms are a good size and if you are lucky you can get a view of the mountains and of Gion. The stunning river is just a short block and a half away. The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. Our rooms was kept clean and towels were refreshed every time we needed it. Highly recommend."
