Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Only stayed for one night but really loved our stay. Shuttle service was great."

The Social Hub Glasgow
10/10 Excellent
"Ok I really did like the hotel except for one thing and honestly it’s a big thing for me. The rooms are dark they have that ambient light of desk lamps and little low power bulbs. I hate it I cannot put my make up on yes there’s a mirror at the sink with a light but when the rest of the room is dark big deal it’s just not enough, like imagine going on a night out and having that. If you lose something you’re like where is it I will need to get my phone torch out. Can you not get a big light for the room so I can see very clearly all my belongings. I know some hotels like like but it’s annoying. I need to see please please stick a big light in there and it would be perfect. You can switch off a light what can you do if there is no light. It’s like a cave. "

"Room was perfect. Lovely products in the new-feeling bathroom. Plenty of room and super view across the square. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly prepared with a great choice. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed my 2-night stay."

"Very convenient hotel with good staff and breakfast"

Radisson Blu Hotel, London South Kensington
4/10 Poor
"The single room is very small but I expect that in London. The bed, however, was positioned next to the desk so you don’t have free movement. What I was more disappointed by was that it was very hot as the air conditioning was broken (I was told the hotel was full so I couldn’t change rooms and at least kindly given a fan). The window can only be opened on request but did at least offer a nice view of the road. It was very noisy though so not very well insulated sound wise. The staff were ok but not going above and beyond to be honest. Breakfast was fine but certainly not good value for money. Apple juice was fizzy, vegetarian sausages available on request but needed 20 mins, and there was less choice than at a Travelodge to be completely honest. I was disappointed by this hotel for multiple reasons. It did the job I needed to for location and at a reasonable price thanks to a deal but I am sad to say that I couldn’t recommend it. There was an iron, ironing board, mini fridge and hairdryer though which were all appreciated. "

Apex Grassmarket Hotel

"The location is ideal for seeing Edinburgh city centre. If you don't want the nightlife noise then stay somewhere else. The view of Edinburgh Castle from our room was perfect though they could have covered the small expanse of roofing to make it more visually appealing. And the windows don't open so ask them to clean them if you want nice photos. The bed is comfortable the room well equipped. It was nice to have a small fridge, kettle etc. more than two coffee cups would be more useful.
The breakfast was excellent and staffing at the restaurant in the morning very pleasant and helpful, and attentive.
We had dinner one night at the restaurant. My bowl was chipped, the meal was not the standard I expected for the price so it was the only one we had there. Received our meal with no utensils, we had ordered soup and a main.
Front staff representatives friendly and approachable. Since there are many uneven stairs I was surprised to see them watch other older patrons struggle to bring luggage up and down them and not offer to assist they watch a group of 12 do just that and the last one was the only one they moved to assist and she was already half way down. Not very amusing while I held the door."

Strand Palace Hotel

"We were very early to check-in and just wanted to leave our bags we were offered an early check-in if we accepted an upgrade at a price, we were under no time pressure so declined to upgrade but we were then immediately checked in and given our rooms, I didn't like that as it suggested the hotel were trying to get more money out of us, a little thing but left us feeling a little uncomfortable. Other than that although the room was very small it was OK, nothing special but OK."
