"Character room, good size with everything you would need. There were a few things that needed refreshing but it was all fine for a short stay. The breakfast was really good, hot and well presented with good coffee/tea. Good value for money and good location for many places to visit."

"Firstly the staff here are superb and go that extra yard to make sure you are happy. Room is spacious, breakfast plentiful and replenished right up to 10am cut off time. I would have awarded 5 stars if it were for one member of staff who was very rude which was out of step with everyone else there. Her name was Isabel and after checking in I went to the bar to buy some biscuits to have with tea in our room. I tried to pay with cash but it was cashless only and I had left my card in the room so asked if I could pay later. Her reply was “you can have the biscuits when you pay for them” so I went back upstairs to fetch my card. The biscuits came to £1.50!! You would normally expect biscuits in your room anyway but her attitude was insulting suggesting we would leave without paying and was a jarring note in an otherwise lovely stay."

"The room was very comfortable and location was great. The front desk person who checked us in was very nice. The bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby. We didn't try the pub next door but I'm sure it was great. The only complaint is that the bathroom grout had some mildew and should be cleaned a bit better to make it look cleaner. Otherwise great value and location. I'd definitely stay there again."
