"This hotel turned out to be quite deceiving. From the outside it looked grand when you walk up to it, but in reality it was tired with a 70s/80s building on the side which is where we stayed. Branded as a spa hotel, the spa side was tiny, old and very dated. The pool was very small, the jacuzzi wasnt working and empty. The sauna was tiny, with a door that was hanging off the hinges and had scraped the floor. In the changing room, very few of the lockers worked. The room we had was very small but clean. Unfortunately there was a wedding the night we stayed, so there were lot of people about. What I can say about this hotel, the staff were lovely. They were all very friendly and polite, considering how busy they were with the wedding that was going on. The food was also excellent. It was just a shame about the spa."

"Pros - everything !! Spotless, comfy, great tv, even had a honesty fridge in room, friendly welcome, easy check in process - highly recommend Cons - very slight thing, mainly as i was driving a pick up truck - could do with a bigger sign outside gates, I missed it twice and around the village you go lol "

"The room was newly refurbished but it was not cleaned properly. I found packets of white powder behind furniture( suspected drugs); there was long dark hair in bed anf on the floor; booked well in advance and requested for roller bed only to be told there we taken offered to another occupant & had to make kids beds on the floor (fortunately we brought extra bedding); sharing the shower cubicle with 2 other families was not ideal; i sneezed the whole weekend from the electric diffusers but it smelled really nice. Check in was the worst experience we have ever had; location was a bit dodgy to be honest; parking was a nightmare; tenants downstairs argued the whole night & kept us awake on the last night."

"Plenty of parking available. Had a very nice welcome from the owner who made me feel extremely welcome and that nothing was a an inconvenience. Very friendly and approachable. My room was spotless, the bed extremely comfortable. Shower was amazing, instant hot water and a good water flow. A very peaceful, relaxing evening, could not fault anything."

"Parking ample but via deep pot holes. Breakfast fabulous. But the hotel not as it says on the tin. Photos misleading. I booked tor a bar and restaurant in the evening. No bar or restaurant just a breakfast room. Needed to drive to get somewhere to eat and with all the potholes tried to find some where on foot. Nothing safe for a female on their own on foot as it was getting dark, to eat. "

"House was OK, some bits poorly maintained in the house and were reported but little response, piles of rubbish outside, garden a mess. Overall it could be better but it was usable, I wouldn’t return. Local area is OK, lots of shops etc. "
