"First time visiting Salem & the Salem Inn did not disappoint! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! It’s so cozy & cute & in a PERFECT location! All of the major sights to see are in a walkable distance as well as the train station if you need to go into to Boston. Another major plus was the breakfast included! Very delicious and the inn keeper could not have been any sweeter! We would definitely stay again in a heartbeat!"

"I stayed there with my husband and two small children. We were supposed to stay for two nights however the heat in our room was not working. We had mechanics come up twice to fix it, second time they replaced the whole unit and in the middle of the night it completely stopped working again. There was snow outside so you can imagine it was extremely cold. My son (4yrs) had a stuffy nose. The kids didn't sleep at all that night. We decided to cancel the second night. They said we would be refunded but I have not received it. This was during February vacation and it is now mid March. I've received no information and no response. Also to top it off we had our luggage plus our kids luggage and having no access to the second floor via elevator is so inconvenient! We had to go up stairs to the second floor with everything. Just seems odd for a family hotel. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone. Very disappointed as Ive loved staying at the other doubletree locations. "

"This place was adorable. It was very vintage and a nice break away from “modern” hotel feel. Loved everything about it, my boyfriend and I are already planning our next stay here! "

"Stayed here with my kid’s sports team for a tournament in Gloucester. Our room was great. Lots of space. The team used the pool. We had food delivered from a local pizza shop. I felt safe with the kids walking around to each other’s rooms in the evening/night. I was locked out of my room late at night and having someone working the front desk at that hour proved to be super helpful. He was able to get me back into my room quickly. I’d stay here again. The price was very reasonable for the area. "
