Norfolk Waterside Marriott
The in-house restaurant, CapoCapo, has terrible table service. The wait staff do not want to be there. The food is decent. The parking garage is scary. The elevator is unreliable; avoid it. Pricing signs are unclear.

Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront
Checked me into a room that hadn’t been cleaned - dirty plates from room service on the bed and towels everywhere on floor. Then at 2:30 am the plumbing crew was banging on pipes and using a very loud power tool in next door room. Probably loud enough to wake up several guests. Horrible stay.
