"Very convenient location. Near a main road yet quiet. Ample parking spaces. Clean rooms although the carpet on the alleyways are coming off. Very good for the price. We arrived to find only 1 set of towel for a party of three but it was sorted out quickly at reception. Would definitely stay again when around the area. "

"First room was terrible, mattress sunk in the middle, staff great, swapped rooms, 2nd room great until we tried to shower, no hot water, assured it was fixed, 2nd night the same, no hot water, had to check out a day earlier as couldn’t cope with cold showers! Food not up to the normal standards, been staying at this hotel for over 7 years , something has defo changed, very disappointed. Staff tried to be helpful . Pool area was very good as always, hopefully just a blip "

"The suites were both extremely spacious, but the air con in one is very loud and there is no air con in the other. Some areas of the hotel look a little tired. With that said though, it is a wonderful venue and the staff were extremely helpful. The food is good, the golf course looks great, and the surroundings are very pleasant too. A great place to stop overnight or for a golf trip I imagine."

"I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions, so my review repeats earlier ones. The hotel is historic, the rooms are comfortable and have their own individual charm. The dining facilities are excellent. The breakfast room is wonderful."

"Parking difficult to find and even after calling up it was automated and I ended up parking in a multistory. The hotel itself is very dated. I had stains on my floor and bugs in the room and the shower. Not only this but I was on the 4th floor and had a consistent banging from the elevators throughout the night and was constant. I woke up many times through the night due to this constant noise. Terrible stay and sleep. "

"Overall the hotel and staff were very nice and polite. The only problem we had was at the breakfast on the second morning Soft poached eggs were ordered but after waiting for 15 minutes and reminding staff, they came out like bullets! The rest of the food was quite cold as well "
