"My only negative was the lack of rest room facilities around the pool area or a shower round the pool area, meaning you would have to walk into reception to use a restroom or go up to your room, neither of which is convenient! Otherwise really perfect hotel, lovely staff and great room!"

"This is a gorgeous, historic hotel in the heart of the French quarter. The staff is so kind and willing to assist in all areas. The restaurant, "Criollo" was fantastic and a good value. My only complaint is that as a hotel guest I could not attain a seat at the carousel bar. One staff member was misinformed and advised me that hotel guests get early access to bar. You do, however you must "book" an experience prior. The public is allowed entrance @ 11 am and the lines get long quickly. I did feel this was unfair as I just wanted to take pictures @ 10am and I was turned away. While I do respect this is a public space, making it inaccessible to guests was suprising & disappointing. The rooftop pool was wonderful. Space was clean, comfortable and there is a bar in which food & drinks can be ordered. The fitness center was better than most I have seen with great views of the city and river."
