"This is my second time at Ardoe and I just love it there. You can’t get more picturesque, unique or enjoyable than staying in a small castle. The grounds are magical with highland cows over the hill and sheep grazing down the garden. The staff are lovely and the dining options are wonderful. "Check in was effortless with a nice chat with the receptionist. I had upgraded my room for this visit and it was really comfortable with a large bed and a coffee machine, but other than this the standard room I usually have is very good.
As ever I used the gym and the pool which are both really good for a hotel. Only problem was, as it's the school holidays the kids were enjoying themselves in the usually tranquil pool,lol. There is an adult only period in the pool from 7pm. Food and service in the restaurant was as good as ever. The hotel also has good size carpark which is charged for but not a big cost. This really is an ideal base for visiting Aberdeen. "
