Great location, fantastic price and value. Reception staff were so helpful and let us park two cars overnight free of charge too. I stay often as it’s cheaper than two taxis. The main building is the best, good bar and lovely breakfast.

We stayed for a night. For an affordable price the hotel was good. The room was spacious with enough space. There was parking available but first come first served. At night it was difficult to find any staff as we stayed in the Carlton hotel (their sister company)on the opposite side of the road. We tried to look for a staff to find out some information but no one was there. But other than that the hotel was nice.

We stayed at this hotel and for the price it was definitely worth the stay. The location in Jesmond is such a nice area. There is great transportation by bus or uber if you did not bring a vehicle to drive. We walked in the area a lot and always felt comfortable, this feels like a safe area. The hotel is an older hotel, it has character. Our room was more of a modern style, our room was clean. The room had a tea kettle with an abundance of coffee, tea, creamer and sugars with real coffee mugs. A few other nice items, there was a very small fridge, iron and ironing board along with ample storage. The bathroom was clean and pretty. We had a couple issues with our keycards towards the end of our trip, the staff on duty was helpful. I did not see an elevator . We did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

Twin room was perfect for our stay, didn't have a breakfast but I know that it is super. Great to have carparks at the rear of both properties even though the condition of the area at the rear leaves a bit to desire. All in all staff are great and shopping and nightlife is great and feels safe due to the area being full of university students. Two supermarkets Waitrose and Tesco are within 3 minutes walk from the hotel.
