"The staff at the Best Western were absolutely fantastic. The first room I was in had a problem with the air conditioner working. With as hot as it was, it really was a necessity. At 11pm, the staff was kind enough to come up to the room to try to fix it. When that didn't work, they moved my room without question.
The second room was great. The bed and pillows were both just the right amount of squishy. Everything in the room functioned as expected. The only complaint I have is that you can't set the motor on the air condition to run consistently (even on auto mode) so it cycles very loudly throughout the night. Not the end of the world once I put on some white noise but it could be very annoying to someone else.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again. It was just right for what I needed and in a really convenient location to the freeway. Excellent job folks!"
"I had a great night stay overall only downside I could even drum up would be a big spider that was on the wall in the bathroom and quite a few cobwebs up on the ceiling in the room that have never been cleaned off but given that it’s Grass Valley, I’m sure that they’re plenty of spiders and Grass Valley. I’m glad I’m not afraid of them.
Also, when I went to breakfast, I left some things in my room and when I got back to the room, my key cards were already deactivated and that was before 9 AM. I’m not sure why the key cards would be deactivated before checkout time. I walked all the way back to the office and they reactivated them just so I could get my stuff out.
I was also very happy to have hot breakfast items like eggs and sausage available since I’m on keto diet most hotels have only carbohydrates and this was very nice. Although I didn’t see any butter available, which would’ve been nice to add.
With all that said, everything else was wonderful. I had a room with a jetted tub and that was very relaxing and helped me sleep like a baby that night. I do plan to stay at this hotel again in the future."
"The property was just as described.
The staff was excellent - called me and set up a time to check in, as I was running late - the staff stayed at the office until i arrived.
The room was very cozy and quite with the location.
Told my other employees, that if in the area and need a room to look them up."
"A very cute comfortable place to stay. We Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We love sitting on the patio with our coffee and enjoying the sound of the creek below. A very short walk to old downtown Nevada City. Perfect location"
"It’s right in the center of Broad Street with a really nice cafe downstairs that’s open at 7:00am every day and has fantastic homemade bacon breakfast burritos.
The room is clean and beautiful.
I had some difficulty at first getting into the building and into my room with the respective codes. The trick is to wait until the door entirely stops buzzing and only then push it open.
The other thing that would be an improvement is to upgrade the sheets to 100% cotton. The existing sheets in my room were, I think, some kind of thin microfiber which slipped down and away from me both nights so that I ended up sleeping directly under the cotton duvet."
