"What a great hidden gem. We were so delighted to find that this hotel had a very comfortable room with a little private garden for our 2 dogs. The owner was so helpful, even receiving an Amazon package for us and advising of its arrival. The food was great with gigantic servings. Large restaurant & beer garden with tables assigned for hotel guests at breakfast which was good for social distancing. It would be great for kids too. Very cozy spot and a great value."

"We stayed here for one night after spending the day at the castle. The hotel is ideally located near the center with walking streets only with restaurants and shops. The room worked well for a family of 4. There is also a kids area and gym for those that may want to workout on vacation. "Beautiful hotel with an excellent restaurant on site. Only issues were the lack of air conditioning and the bed— we thought we’d have a double bed, and it was two twin beds pushed together. The bedding wasn’t great— no top sheets, just a heavy comforter, but the setting and views are lovely. Very nice stay overall. They even have a playroom for kids."

"Celebrated an anniversary and birthday while staying at the Waxenstein. An anniversary card and chocolates in our room and a special birthday breakfast table with champagne for my wife’s birthday.
