"This has to be one of the most friendly hotels we've ever stayed in. From the two hugely welcoming guys on Reception when we checked in to the absolutely amazing lady, called Tam, in the breakfast restaurant, everyone was so polite, helpful and genuinely happy to be of assistance.
The buffet breakfast was piping hot and had a really good selection of items to suit everyone, and is great value for money if you book at Reception in advance.
However, we ordered room service one lunchtime and the paninis were hard and had almost zero filling in them. I had a 4 cheese and red onion one and I couldn't see any cheese in it whatsoever. At £12 each plus a 5 tray charge, they weren't enjoyable, were almost inedible, and were definitely not worth the money.
The hotel has dog-friendly rooms, and the extensive grounds surrounding the hotel are great if you're travelling with a dog, like we were, or if you just enjoy a stroll.
On the plus side the staff are truly amazing and really make an effort to make you feel welcome.
On the negative side the walls in the room we stayed in were paper thin, to the point we could hear whole conversations from next door, and the room service is expensive with poor quality food.
We would definitely stay again, mainly due to the location and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. But we'd definitely avoid the room service."
