Sandals Royal Bahamian - ALL INCLUSIVE Couples Only
10/10 Excellent
"We had an amazing time at Sandals. The staff were absolutely fantastic and we loved every minute of it. Food was great and the pool was warm and clean! Definitely coming back next year!"
"I booked online for an emergency. I arrived and it looked deserted. I saw someone working and knocked on the door no one came to the door. I was charged and had to find somewhere else to stay. I think this place is a scam."
"The service was sub par at best. We received a packet with a map of the resort, restaurant/bar hours, and events for each day. On 2 different days, the bar on the 4th floor at thE pool was closed when they should have been open. The bar on the first floor outside was also closed one day when it was supposed to be opened. The Feeding Frenzy at the pool was closed one afternoon when it was supposed to be open. My husband and I went to have dinner at Wasabi Joe's restaurant inside the resort and they were closed, even though they were supposed to be open. One morning for breakfast the toaster oven was broken so we couldn't get a hot breakfast. We were told to go to the hotel next door to get breakfast. Every time we asked about bar and restaurant hours at the front desk, we got handed another brochure of the resort and were told to refer to that for hours. I told them I was using all 3 of the brochures I was given for hours listed, yet things were constantly closed. They couldn't give an answer. The pool was out of towels. I asked 3 different people working the resort if they could restock. No luck! We ended bringing out room towels. The pool was supposed to do a 1 hr. spin wheel getting towels. The girl packed up and left 32 minutes in to this. we watched through the elevator window as we were heading down. Several times we were told the bars and restaurants were out of food and or drinks we wanted. Shower hot water was an issue. Waste of money for thousands spent! Never again!"
"We had a standard room, queen bed. The room was quaint with a large bathroom. Very clean, unfortunately no balcony but the windows did open.
The hotel is absolutely stunning (and if you’re an OG 007 fan, you’ll notice a few filming spots) it has a decent size pool and a lovely beach. We stayed from Thursday to Saturday and didn’t have any trouble securing a shaded chair, until Saturday afternoon, when it got busier.
Short walk to explore downtown and to Junkanoo Beach, we ate at the Salty Crab and the cracked conch was amazing! The beach was very busy as it was Sat and a lot of people from the cruise ships spend their day there.
Staff at the Colonial were so friendly! A huge perk was that we were able to store our bags for the day and still had access to their beach! "
"The place has some charm and appealing factors, but is not 4 star not worth the price Seriously outdated, fixtures that are falling apart or low quality, and just so many amenities and features that are subpar that this resort is not near the standard for 4 star. The location is appreciable, nice and safe, feels comfortable once you accept concessions. Everything is overpriced, $28 for a bland, soulless omelet and processed orange juice. Staff is decent, didn't get extra towels after the first night which for the price is concerning. I can see kids having fun in the pool area for families. I did enjoy the hammocks outside of our room along the canal. Property has convenience store, pharmacy, restaurants all accessible which was a great plus. It's not directly on the beach, and the access to the beach is both convenient and a little off-putting (have to go under bridged on other side of the road) at the same time. So all in all, if it were more directly located on the water, or at a lower price point there would be more value. "
Courtyard by Marriott Nassau Downtown/Junkanoo Beach
10/10 Excellent
"Was a little afraid at first due to comments about cleanliness but it isn’t bad at all. Bathroom clean. Shower hot. Good water pressure. No toilet issues. Nice towels. Sink did clog a little. Free water bottles. Comfortable bed. Cold AC. Three different plug outlets. Basic cable TV. WiFi smooth. Refrigerator + Coffee maker. No microwave. Ice machine on every level. Mini convenience store in lobby. Pool hours are extensive. Breakfast is amazing. Not even ten steps from dining/beach. 5 min walk to Margaritaville. 15 min walk to downtown. "
