"Charged an extra fee to check in a couple hours early, even though the room was ready. Hotel is small, although it looks significantly bigger in the photos. No wash clothes for bathing just 2 larger towels and 2 hand towels. Chairs in the room looked like the belong on a patio. Restaurant doesn’t serve food until 1700 hours, with 1 wait staff for entire dining area. Just seemed very limited on staff and really no amenities. Was not impressed at all!"

"Great stay, great location and very welcoming staff. A particularly thank you to Adam for being so welcoming, friendly and upbeat. The breakfast and dinners were great, and being able to enjoy a glass of red wine and watch the Aurua made our stay memorable. I highly recommend this hotel anyone flying in to Harstad and heading towards the Lofoten Islands by rental vehicle. It’s the perfect first night, and last night stop. Thanks for a great stay. "

"The place was amazing. It is not about the room but about being the hub of the place. The restaurants, the store, the activities starting there and organised by them. There is a great vibe of activity and expectation. Many happy people from all over the world.
It is located perfectly, on the lake and on the river bank.
The rooms are basic but clean and had all we needed. The breakfast very diversed.
There are also two restaurants and Fika-s.

"Great stay in Narvik at the Royal. Great breakfast included. Old school bar restaurant attached. If you’re skiing and don’t have a car, it’s a 20-30 minute hike up the hill. Call a taxi. Good lobby snacks including sandwiches if you arrive late. Rooms w view of the ski hill are available. Check that ski hill is fully open when planning. Gondola was closed and 3 slopes were open in Feb 2026 as they prepared for World Championships "

"We had a really nice stay at the Hotell Fjallet, my wife had injured her ankle, so we got a room at the ground floor, very helpful staff. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant, we could see the northern lights outside from our room, and there was a fast charger for EVs next to the hotel, ideal to pop up the car for our trip to Norway the next day. "
