"The location was excellent just a short walk to Moto-Hakone and nearby restaurants. The walk back uphill is definitely doable, but I’d recommend taking a taxi, especially after a long day out. The home itself is tucked away in the mountains, offering a peaceful and private setting. It was beautifully designed and comfortably accommodated our family of six. "We loved our stay! The room was quiet and comfortable. We loved the public baths and breakfast (we didn't have dinner with our room). The staff was very welcoming. There's also a shuttle from the hotel down to the bus stop in Motohakone or it's an easy 15 min walk. "

"The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful. Our private onsen was something out of a movie. And it’s a superb place for kids — many fun little treats everywhere. Very much recommend. However, if your kid is an adventurous eater, make sure they do not serve them the kids meal Kaiseki. It is definitely subpar fast food level. Pre-order the adult version because you can’t change on the spot."
