It was absolutely fantastic. There was a more around it than we thought with a few restaurants and a 24/7 7 eleven. The property itself is probably the best we’ve ever stayed in - the views when Mt Fuji came out from behind the clouds were really spectacular, and you can see the view from the private onsen.

Lots of thoughtful touches - seat dads for the foot bath, detergents for laundry and dishwasher, the Onsen was great. How and location were excellent. Instructions on how to use the appliances - husbandry, laundry, TVs, etc. - far grief multi-language instructions. However, these brief instructions were, at times, far too brief.

We had a really fun stay at RakutenSTAY FUJIMITERRACE Hakone Ashinoko! We especially loved the private onsen and the foot bath — it was so relaxing. The views were amazing, with Lake Ashi, Mt. Fuji, and the torii gate all visible nearby. The location was great, very close to the pirate ship cruise on Lake Ashi and the torii gate at Hakone Shrine. There was also a 7-Eleven, restaurants, and a bakery within a short walk, which made things really convenient. The property is an unmanned facility, but the check-in process was easy and we didn’t have any problems. It is a bit far from the train station and requires taking a bus, but it worked well for us since we were driving from Tokyo. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Hakone!

Wow, what an incredible experience! This place is simply breathtaking and truly the nicest stay I had while in Japan. The views of Mt. Fuji are absolutely stunning, it's like living a postcard! The sauna was a little too hot for my taste, but the onsen was divine for my sore feet after all that walking around Tokyo. And can we talk about how this space is perfect for a big family? With two bathrooms and two toilets, there's plenty of room for everyone! Oh, and the fridge? It was stocked with free alcohol and some light snacks, which was such a delightful surprise! This is definitely the best spot for a boat ride, a little shopping, and a super relaxing time with amazing views. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect. It was a beautiful place on a beautiful location with every attention to detail imaginable. The onsen, sauna and foot bath were outstanding.
