"A beautiful spot in the forest, although just a bit far from the sights in Nara. The staff was lovely and the room quite comfortable, by Western standards for a Japanese room (although the futons were by far the hardest and most uncomfortable of the three ryokans we visited). The meals lived up to the reviews, beautifully presented true kaiseki."

"Wonderful hotel. Great location, lovely rooms, self check in is such an easy and wonderful way to operate. One of my favorite hotels in Japan. Will be back again. Can’t recommend enough. "

"The staff are fabulous, very attentive and customer focused. We had an outdoor private bath which was wonderful and highly recommended. Our one complaint is the beds (futon) they were very thin and hard. We did not sleep well. "

"A simple and dependable business hotel. The staff were very friendly and even let me check in a bit early, which I appreciated. The room was clean, though the air felt a little stale when I first arrived. Breakfast is straightforward and gets the job done, and the small public baths were a nice way to relax. The location is very convenient, with plenty of dining options and useful shops close by. Overall, a clean, friendly, and reliable place for a short stay."

"We booked the hotel without knowing it’s a five star hotel. It meets all the standards for a five star hotel - from staff, service, amenities to quality of bakery. We didn’t eat at any of their restaurants because there are many less expensive options near the hotel. Unlike the hotels in Osaka city center at similar price, our room is large and has a beautiful view of Osaka Jo Hall, the Osaka Castle and the big park around it. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back again. "
"Immaculate room and expert room cleaning, great amenities, and a fantastic experience overall! The hotel staff is professional and exceptionally helpful with any questions I had. Overall this hotel made my stay in Osaka as wonderful as possible thank you!"
"Everyone was so friendly. Our housekeeping staff made sure she went above and beyond. Their staff spoke English fluently which was another positive. I would stay here again and already recommended to my friends and family."
