"After being on the road for a week it was nice to have a laundry available that was very reasonably priced. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean. The rooms were updated and hopefully in the future they will update the interior halls. Good place to stay."

"I would have given this hotel a much higher rating were it not for the two women running the front desk, Rebecca and Jen. The hotel itself was nice enough and the cleaning staff, breakfast staff and the two gentlemen who were at the front desk when I checked out were lovely. There were multiple girls softball teams staying at this hotel the last weekend of May. And a lot of kids. CLEARLY Rebecca and Jen (who has six kids of her own she was happy to share) actually HATE children. And any noise louder than a whisper. And anyone even daring to have fun. They REPEATEDLY advised me that they "see everything in the hotel" thanks to 30 plus security cameras literally EVERYWHERE including one aimed directly at the pool (which I was 100% uncomfortable with being a teenage girl mom). These two gems of humans regularly patrolled the hotel with their walkie talkies (when they weren't sitting at the front desk watching all the cameras) screaming at my team, other teams, a 4 year old boy skipping to the pool...for just being kids. Maybe a little too loud, maybe jogging in the halls. Yelled at them all. Multiple times. My eldest daughter heard Rebecca (or Jen...semantics at this stage) yell at one of the Coaches of a team staying there "You're the problem. You need to leave" for no reason at all. That Coach and her team left and stayed elsewhere. Which is what we should have done. Never in my life have I encountered such horrendous behaviour from hotel staff. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!!!!!!!!"

"We booked this hotel for convenience and were not made aware that the parking situation involves parking in public parking a block away, emptying your entire vehicle to avoid break-ins, and then when returning to the hotel, the elevator reeked of human urine. We took a slight wrong turn trying to get back to the hotel and ended up walking into an area where 20+ drug users were laying all over the ground and it felt very unsafe. When we complained the hotel simply sent back smiley face texts saying "Well, that's downtown for you". We have no idea why this is a 5 star hotel. There are few amenities, the room was average, and the staff in no way went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were passive aggressive and unhelpful. We tried to speak to management to address the situation and they refused to do anything for us. Extremely disappointing - we will never be back."

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but after spending $350 for one night, I feel other guests should know about our experience. We encountered numerous issues: * The TV did not work * The electric bug zappers didn’t work, missing its battery cover * A chocolate bar wrapper was found behind the bed from a previous guest * A dirty cleaning rag was left in the bathroom * The bathroom exhaust vent was noticeably dirty * The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor * The toiletry bottle pumps in the shower did not work, had to remove the lids and pour the contents out manually * On the morning of departure, the shower water was too cold to use * The “water view” room had a significantly obstructed view due to a dirt mound and hillside * There was very little privacy, as people walked directly in front of the room, forcing us to keep the curtains closed * The swimming pool was too cold to comfortably enjoy * While speaking with another guest staying in the main building, they mentioned they could clearly hear guests in the room below them What was most disappointing, however, was not the condition of the room itself, but the lack of follow-through afterward. To their credit, the Manager reached out after our stay, apologized, acknowledged the issues, and offered a complimentary future stay. I declined and requested a refund instead, as I had no desire to return. There was no further follow up from her. The quality and service simply didn’t justify the price charged."

"We booked an ocean view but it was on the lower floor so we had to pay to upgrade to a top floor. It was worth it for the fabulous views the laundry facility was very useful. The setting was lovely. The food in The Lounge was good value with a lively atmosphere. Staff I. The restaurant were very friendly."

"This resort is an absolute gem! The place was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. This is a dog-friendly resort; there are doggy bags and garbage receptacles for dog waste on the grounds. The view of the ocean is spectacular, and the walk down to the beach is easy, but on a very slight grade. The resort itself is beautiful with great walking paths, a pool, and a gym. I would definitely stay here again."
