"Very nice staff - very helpful with everything. Common area kitchen allows you to make lattes and cappuccinos for free, which is very nice!! Room is nicely appointed, hotel is in a great location. Not for the disabled, as you have to climb several (15) steps to get into and out of the hotel. Other than that, a great place to stay!"
"This hotel had the best breakfast out of all my travels. There was so much food that once you had breakfast you would be full for the rest of the day. So many choices: eggs, dairy, vegetables, fruit, coffee, sweets, breads. A gigantic buffet of delicious choices. The manager of the restaurant is very kind and will help you with whatever you need. The hotel itself was very clean and quiet and in a great location. A 20 minute walk to Jaffa Gate (Old City/Kotel (Wall)). Also, many cafes, restaurants, shopping, and ATM machine at door. The night manager, Anton, is very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. If there is something you need, or somewhere you want to go, ask him and he will help you. The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was a great find and I highly recommend it. One other note: I was looking for Shabbat services and they had them in the building. (There are groups that sometimes come and have them, so definitely ask before hand.) Also, they have a Shabbat elevator! Kosher food."
"Always amazing to stay at the Orient, although noticed front desk reception is totally understaffed.
Waited for a long time to check in at 2pm and also waited for close to 5 mins when checking out at 6.30am.
Need more staff. Unacceptable for the quality of the hotel. "
