"Great hotel with excellent restaurant and staff. It’s about a 25 min walk to town along the coast, passing by Moai. Only addition would be screens in doors so you can leave them open at night for cooler air."
"Manuto is knowledgeable, fun, and a very good driver. I couldn't have asked for a better host and guide.
The free-range chickens were very entertaining."
"Hugo picked up from airport which I really appreciated. Location was spacious, clean and on the Main Street, so was close to shopping and dining options. The only recommendation is to make sure television is available. "

Cabañas Anavai Rapa Nui
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was clean and very tidy. It sits right in front of the ocean and in front of one of the few public moai sites. It is incredible to watch the sunsets there. When I had questions or issues, the office was relatively quick to respond. The showers on the island have heaters. So I turned the pressure down on the shower a bit to make the hot water last longer. It takes about two minutes for hot water to return once it is used up. This hotel is one of the nicest within walking distance of downtown and I learned from other travelers I met that my hot water concern is common across the island to converse water. The listing says laundry facilities, but these are a mile away and not on site. I am definitely planning to stay at this hotel again the next time I come. It was convenient to walk to from downtown and all the tour groups picked me up and dropped me off there. The restaurant closest to the hotel is literally the best one on the island. Food prices are similar to USA prices but the portions are huge and the food quality is superb. I really enjoyed my time. "
"Where do I even begin? Staying at Hare Nua Hotel on Easter Island was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced like family—not in the polite, distant way some places offer, but with genuine warmth, care, and attention that stayed consistent throughout our stay.
The staff are the true heart and soul of Hare Nua. Every interaction felt sincere—like you were the only guest in the world that mattered. Whether it was offering recommendations, helping us with logistics, or just sharing a warm smile and conversation, they made the experience feel deeply personal. You’re not just staying at a hotel—you’re welcomed into a home.
The personal touches here are what set it apart. From beautifully arranged welcome notes to handcrafted decor, everything feels curated with love and thought. You can feel the care in every corner of the hotel. The grounds are lush, the interiors effortlessly blend comfort with local charm, and the overall presentation is impeccable—boutique luxury without an ounce of pretension.
And let’s talk about the food: absolutely divine. Breakfasts were a highlight of each day—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The local ingredients, the bold yet comforting flavors, and the peaceful ambiance made every meal feel special. You could taste the passion in every bite.
But what truly sealed the deal for me? The kitty. Such an all around amazing experience"
"From the moment you check-in at the hotel, the staff are available to assist with your needs.
The restaurant menu offers a variety of very tasty dishes.
One should consider booking various tours through the hotel. The operator is very reliable and the tour guides are, at a minimum, bi-lingual (Spanish and English).
The hotel is in walking distance of two banks, numerous restaurants and an artisanal gifts centre."
