"We had a pleasant 3-night stay overall. We particularly enjoyed the pool, the peaceful surroundings, and the generally good-quality food. The complimentary tea served daily from 5–6 pm was also a nice touch. However, for a listed 4-star property, we found the experience somewhat underwhelming. Our room was clean but quite small. One day we found lots of ants coming in through the main room door. There were also a few issues with the food. One evening we found a piece of plastic in our pasta....

"Nice hotel with swimmingpool and bubblebath. Nice selection at breakfast. My room had a beautiful view with my own big balcony. . The room was nice and clean except that you could hear the train passing. When I did shut the door to the balcany it was ok. Moneglia is a very pretty and small village away from tourists. The hotel is close to the train station and perfect if you want to go hiking in Cinque Terre. The hotel is situated up on the hill and its quite heavy walking."

"Santa Margherita is beautiful and almost as nice as Sestri Levante. Hotel Laurin sits in a wonderful spot. However, it has no beach and the neighboring beaches are very rocky. (There is no sandy beach for miles.) The hotel will give you a toweland point you in the right direction, but when you get there, you will pay 50 euros for an umbrella and 2 lounge chairs. THE SINGLE BIGGEST DECEPTION IS THE ROOFTOP POOL. They have strategically shot the pool with a wide-angle lens. The "wading pool" is VERY SMALL; too shallow on the small perimeter and too deep in the tiny center to actually use it. Yes, you can enjoy a cocktail by the pool; however, there is no rooftop bar and you will pay a 5 euro delivery fee. Each time. During our stay, the pool was occupied by noisy children, so we left after 20 minutes and never returned. Unfortunately, we booked the Laurin, in part, for the promise of a secluded rooftop pool... If, however, you are coming here for the breakfast? It is fantastic! And the covered balcony is very nice when you retreat from the pool. (Remember to bring your drink, as there is nothing in your fridge but 2 bottles of water.) For Italy, I am informed, the staff was nice. Do not, however, expect a smile. (Tip: The people of nearby Sestri Levante are warm and friendly, the beaches are nice, and the town is beautiful. And if you tire of pasta and shellfish every night? Sestri Levante is home to what is possibly the best Tex-Mex restaurant in all of Italy, Nauroz Tex-Mex.)"

This was Central to everything so it was a great place to stay if you wanna go and visit different places. I'm already thinking about coming again next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay x"

"having been told aat the last minute our flight was cancelled this hotel was the first avaiable to put us up for an unexpected stay. this hotel was the closet available to Pisa airport and was 17 kilometers away. we were greeted and assissed to our room by a charming lady at reception and food and drink was provided in spite of the late hour. we hada problem with the air conditioning but this was resolved."
