The only drawback is that Niseko is very quiet in early June, with the restaurants in the hotel and most in the surrounding closed. The coffee shop in Chatrium re-opens in mid-June while other restaurants in Hirafu also re-open thereafter."

It can be a little tough to get to the Niseko United slopes (shuttle can be unreliable), but I'm visiting to ski tour; so that doesn't really matter for my purposes."
