"Nice clean wee house, lovely view of the lake!!!! Amazing star viewing at night!!! Fabulous location!!!"

"Excellent bed and breakfast with lots of history and great hosts"

"The hotel is not a hotel it is a motel . The drive to Te Anau is 20 mins. The view from the motel is beautiful. The beds are not comfortable, and the pictures on Expedia is a misrepresentation of what the property actually is."

"Great place to stay! Definitely recommend as a base to stay in the area. Right in front of the lake and walking distance to the town centre."

"Great location and fantastic staff, Spa was clean and well maintained and book able which meant our family had exclusive use which was nice , restaurant was great Jade was especially nice and helpful"

"Loved the location and our stay"

"Hotel was dated but VERY clean. Beds comfortable. Location good. I think a good choice looking at other hotels and glad we chose this one."

"Walking distance to everything, nice an quiet"

"We got in late and the hotel accommodated us and had everything ready. And then when I forgot an item in the room the hotel had it easy for us to pick up at a later time. Would definitely recommend and stay there again."

"Great stay. Clean, comfortable, and recommended!"

"After sleeping in a van for a few nights, this place was the BEST. In the United States, ‘motel’ means cheap and maybe a little gross, but this place felt cleaner than most hotels and had such useful kitchenettes in the rooms. Best warm shower and heated blankets. I’m honestly disappointed we couldn’t spend another night!"

"Clean, family friendly home like stay"

"Lovely staff, wonderful room for a family."

"Great place to stay! Staff extremely friendly and helpful offering lots of suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Room was spacious and nice with lovely coffee on offer too."

"Convenient, clean and well maintained. Perfect for our needs. Buffet breakfast was good."

"The room was very clean, the kitchenette was very helpful, parking was fine. The beds were comfortable. Really enjoyed the outside deck. The best part was the view of the Lake. Would stay here again in a minute. Highly recommend"

"Great stay at Shakespeare House! Nice clean room and very modern. Great owners who were helpful with recommendations if things to do and providing assistance where needed"

"The place conveniently located. Michael at the front desk was very helpful."

"The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was fantastic. Restaurants and shops were just a short walk away, making it very convenient. The amenities were good, and having a laundry room on-site was a definite plus. Shared kitchen was clean. Overall, a wonderful place to stay!"
