Late October stay

The actual lodge was nice to stay in, but the on-site restaurant and bar were closed as was the local marinas. If known this on advance, I would have chosen a different location. The staff at the lodge were excellent.

Our room reservation was changed because the room we reserved was dirty. Our new room was not what we are used to. Repair patch on the wall, worn out furniture and thick dust on the bed headboard. Shower doesn’t get hot and no shampoo or conditioner available. Mattress old and uncomfortable. Would not stay again. Restaurant was great and piano man was wonderful!

We booked a king bed but when we arrived we’re given two queens. I told the receptionist and she said ‘ok I’ll change it’ when we arrived in the room it was two queen beds again. Mattress’ are very old and uncomfortable, ladybugs on the walls everywhere. Manager said it’s the whole are this time of year. Surely pest control also exist in the area….
