We went to Safari Park and Montgomery Zoo and Dillon gave us a ONE ON ONE ENCOUNTER with the Giraffes. Dillon answered all our questions; he should write a book about Giraffes.

We live in AL and went to Montgomery for a concert, decide to stay the night. Downtown Montgomery is quiet and clean. Safe. More to do than I thought!

Stay east of downtown and you'll be fine and have a lot of choices for shopping and restaurants. Downtown and the surrounding areas have a lot of abandoned buildings and seem sketchy at night.

After dark it was loud with many homeless people, people that seemed intoxicated, loud music, and people arguing.

Downtown is great for history buffs. I wish I could've spent more time downtown. The area where the hotel was located, on Eastchase Pkwy wasn't downtown, but in a suburban stip malls area, not pedestrian friendly, no crosswalks to access restaurants.
"Walking distance for food and shopping. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great with plenty of dining space if you didn't want to return to the room."
