"Wonderful property and the staff were all incredibly nice. We saw more wildlife on the trails here than we did in the Monteverde Biological Reserve and the views were amazing "
"One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was INCREDIBLE. The views were stunning. The hotel sources most of the food they serve from a local, 100% sustainable and carbon neutral farm, and the food was Excellent. Truly a magical stay. "
"We loved our stay at Hotel Poco a Poco! The location is perfect—close to town but still peaceful—and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with recommendations. Our room was clean and cozy, and the restaurant served excellent meals. The only downside was that the pool and jacuzzi were under renovation during our visit, but everything else more than made up for it. Highly recommended for a Monteverde stay!"
"The lodge is set on a beautiful coffee plantation. The lodge was spacious, clean and surrounded by nature. The fresh coffee in the room was delicious. "
"Gorgeous setting and really cute cottage. Owner was helpful. My son loved the guava from the trees. Only thing that could have been improved would be to have wall air conditioning units. "

"We stayed here for a family vacation. It was such a beautiful place to stay. You walk out of room and you feel like you are the o Ly one there. The spring pools on property were amazing and they come and serve you drinks in the pool. The main dining hall is open and you can watch the wildlife (and volcano if it’s visible) right there when you eat. "
"Stayed here for 6 days, rooms are spacious and nothing spectacular compared to a more modern style room but makes up for it with a balcony that faces the Volcano.
There a several hot springs and one has a swim up bar that was fantastic.
They also have a pool with a pretty lengthy fast slide, the breakfast here is top notch.
Plenty of choices to choose from, the hotel also offers a view point, within the resort, that you can take a 5 minute drive that over sees the Volcano, amazing view!!
It’s a short 10 minute drive to La Fortuna so for me it worked out perfectly as I didn’t have to worry about heavy traffic flow coming in and out of the resort.
Staff helps with booking any activities you may be interested in booking.
Overall I’d definitely stay here again 10/10"
"The property was very well kept. The breakfast offered a wide variety of foods to choose from. We enjoyed the thermal spa very much. The temperature was perfect for enjoying several hours in the pools. "
"We spent two nights in Ficus. Notable- The young lady working the front desk with long, dark hair and the wait staff in the restaurant at night. Both were super friendly and went out of their way to be fun and welcoming! Room- very clean and all the things worked well! Breakfast buffet- Excellent! Other food was good...except the pizza. A bit undercooked. Stick with local cuisine. The area is very hilly- expect to walk up hills. Shopping is a bit a way from everything. Tours- a very limited amount of excursions offered. We ended up going on a FB group and were able to find some things. End of June- expect some rain. We still went out and enjoyed all the things we wanted to do, no problem. View from the room- Plants could use a trim as they were hard to see past. wifi- excellent. Hot water- strong and plenty. Air-con- worked well. Snacks in mini bar- very over priced. Coffee maker- very nice and good coffee. "
"Very responsive. Had coffee and coffee maker.
A fence and locked gate surrounded the property. Very attractive grounds. The 4:00 AM neighbors dog alarm was an added bonus. Got our day started early."
