"We showed up early hoping to just drop our bags and our room was actually ready! able to check in well before our time and it allowed us to enjoy another full day in Florence before our flight home in the morning. Front desk staff were super helpful with advice on what time to get to the airport (located 5mins away), called us a cab, and even had a bagged breakfast for us to take with us since we had to checkout at 4am! There are two locations in Florence and I stayed at the Belfiore Hotel, which was a short walk or tram ride from Florence Station.
It was a bit out of the way from the city centre, but I think the hotel more than makes up for it with its friendly staff, high standard of facilities, including all clean rooms with all the mod cons you’d expect, and a stunning roof top bar and pool.
I can also recommend the restaurant and cafe adjoining the hotel too, both offered some fantastic food and were clearly busy with the locals and guests of the hotel, shared working space facilities etc. "
