The nearest ski hill isn't always open and anyway it's only for experienced skiers, as it's "hors piste." That said, it's only 40 min from Serre Chevalier. The little town is cute. "We had an all-around fantastic experience at Hôtel Les Lutins! If you are traveling with young kids, the location is about as good as you can get. It is situated right next to the ski school drop-off and the new Jandri Express lift, which made the morning "ski shuffle" with a 5-year-old and 7-year-old so much easier. Our family room was a pleasant surprise—very comfortable and spacious enough for the four of us and all our gear. The breakfast was another highlight. It was fantastic every morning, and they were incredibly accommodating with dietary needs, providing great gluten-free options upon request. The staff really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. All in all, a great experience. We are already keen to go back next season! What we loved: • Proximity to the slopes: Literally steps from the Jandri lift and ski school. • Family-friendly: The room layout worked perfectly for a family of four. • Dietary awareness: Stress-free gluten-free breakfast options. • Atmosphere: Warm, welcoming, and authentic. Bottom line: Highly recommended for families looking for convenience and great service in Les Deux Alpes!"
