Delicious food, wine and impeccable service for an overall affordable price. One minus: the spa is not free of charge (this should be said in the description in hotels.com) and it costs the ludicrous amount of 60 euros for 50 minutes. Despite that, a much recommended hotel. "Absolutely lovely hotel in a stunningly restored Renaissance palazzo. We booked for one night and ended up staying three nights. Spotless clean, excellent service, and tasteful rooms in a scenic little town with few tourists. Ideal for day trips to Asti, Alba, Fossano, Cuneo, and other culturally relevant sites in the Piemonte. We fell in love with Mondovi, its excellent restaurants, and the calm genius loci. Barbara and Massimo, the owners, gave us a tour of the palazzo and the neighborhood....

"The owner was very nice and accommodating. The room was very nice too, however the bathroom had the smallest shower we have ever encountered. At most it was two feet by two feet inside dimensions. Don’t drop the soap. :)"
