"Hotel excellent, rooms had good facilities, and modern throughout. Breakfast was amazing and so much choice for hot and cold items. Staff friendly. Location very convenient for train station and city centre. May not be ideal for single female traveller due to area but we felt safe enough together. "

"We stayed years ago prior to renovation. Beautiful hotel, wonderful attention to detail preserving the old while totally updating. Staff was so accommodating that if asked a question they would provide not only directions but hours, etc. Best breakfast ever, eggs, sausages, various bread & rolls, sweets, cheeses, even English, and vegan offerings. Table service upscale with waiters for every whim. Room maintained spotless with complimentary bottles of water replaced everyday. Lovely bar area with roaring fire going and soft music in the background, available for both food & drinks."

"The hotel and room were modern and clean. Lots of storage options in the room. The custom shelving and desk seems very well made. The windows open in various ways which was kind of cool! Maybe that's the norm in Germany? The mini fridge in the room was handy. The only negative, if there is one, would be the bathroom was a bit tight. While washing my face over the sink I had to keep my elbows tucked close. But it was clean and modern, so overall, a good bathroom. The employees at the front desk were friendly and helpful. There was also a water jug at the front desk / bar area. We choose to have breakfast out, so cannot comment on the breakfast. It's about an 18 minute walk to Marienplatz, so not totally central, but close enough, and very quiet being a few blocks from absolute city center. Overall, a great stay! I would stay again."
