"This is my second time staying at Fujisan Onsen Hotel Kaneyamaen, and once again, it has been nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Even during check-in, the staff personally escorted us to our room while taking the time to introduce the hotel and share about its many facilities. There was simply so much to enjoy throughout our stay. We started with a lovely welcome tea overlooking a tranquil stream flowing through a forested area. The hotel also has a huge, beautifully landscaped Japanese garden where you can take your time to stroll and immerse yourself in the peaceful surroundings. In the afternoon, we were treated to a lovely violin performance while enjoying hot tea and sweet potatoes, once again overlooking the beautiful stream. We also had the chance to soak our feet in the garden's foot onsen, which was such a relaxing experience. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Dinner was served in an enclosed private dining room, giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy our meal. Another highlight was the lounge overlooking Mount Fuji, where there was an impressive complimentary selection of wine, drinks, snacks and even ice cream! Guests can also dress up in beautiful kimonos, adding a little something special to the whole Japanese experience. Every evening, the hotel puts on traditional drum performances followed by bingo, with attractive prizes for lucky winners. It was such a fun way to end the day!"

"Room size is good enough, location is quite close to kawaguchiko lake but a bit of walk from kawaguchiko station, which is fine as you get to sightsee the surroundings. The hotel is generous enough to provide free shuttle bus from and to the hotel. It also provides free bus to several stations which are quite strategic for your trip back to Tokyo - like for example Otsuki station."

"This is a spa hotel. They ask you to change into, not expected to, lounge/spa clothing which once passed the shock,was lovely. Onsen on site was extremely nice. One thing I will say was book dinner as soon as you arrive or before as we tried to but the restaurant was full and everything else was closed as it was a Sunday, so no dinner for us. The alternative was to wait for supper at 22:30 for ramen, which we did. Breakfast was superb and faultless."

"Beautiful suite with lake view. Robes provided for onsen. Japanese style breakfast at our own table with hot pot and many courses. Convenient to rental bikes and restaurants. I highly recommend it."

"This ryokan is dated but extremely clean. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the servers for our kaiseki meals and traditional breakfast. The food was delicious. View of Mt Fuji from the room was outstanding! Just a warning, the beds in the Japanese Western room were not traditional tatami mats but were extremely hard - like sleeping on box springs. We had to layer tatami mats on the beds to make them comfortable enough to sleep on."
