"The restaurant was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Claire in particular was superb, arranging with the chef to cook the lamb at dinner exactly as I wanted it and checking that I was completely happy. The breakfast was also very tasty and hot,"

"Lovely place, lovely setting. Stayed either side of the Great North Run. Staff were absolutely lovely, even got complimentary drinks when they found we'd just been running! :) Room very nice and spacious, comfy bed, only complaint would be that room was a tad warm for me, even with radiator off! Complientary entry to the health club as a hotel guest was a big reason we picked here, enabled a good soak and steam after running!"
