"I had a great stay at the Capitol Plaza Hotel. The hotel was clean. Breakfast (provided) was excellent. The staff was wonderful. Parking was efficient and one of the reasons I stayed there. It was a great stay. Thank you."

"I waited close to 10 minutes to check in because the guy behind the desk was on a personal phone call. He apologized after the fact that what good is that. There were approximately 10 cars in the parking lot. Yeah, they put me on the third floor, with no elevator. I’m a senior citizen center. "

"For the price you don’t get much. I could stay at a 4 star hotel in downtown Chicago for the price and it seemed like a plain 3 star hotel. I didn’t have many options in the area so I guess they are price gouging. "

"Travelled 8 hours for a birthday party and stayed here for 3 nights, had 2 rooms. The hotel was okay at best... best part of the stay was the breakfast which was pretty good and the rooms are decently spacious. Very outdated overall, musty smelling rooms. When we checked in it was obvious the toilet/bathtub were not thoroughly cleaned, as there were hairs and splatters of god knows what in the toilet. Also checked in to a half used roll of toilet paper in each room and had to practically beg for more than one roll. Also- using the restroom and a cockroach looking bug crawled past my foot. Shower temperature was burning hot and was not able to be turned down. Front desk guys were crabby. The pool area had a NASTY floor. Trash/tags/and literal LOOGIES on the ground I stepped in and wasn't cleaned for the entirety of our stay. Overall would not stay here again. Spend a little extra money and stay somewhere else."

"The bathroom was not very clean. Old soap had been left on the ledge. Pubic hairs on walls of the shower and the drain was not cleaned. The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was satisfactory and the attendant was hovering at an appropriate level."
