Columbus Hotel Monte-Carlo, Curio Collection by Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"The welcome by Andrea is Reception was amazing. She was really kind and even got with me in the lift up to my room when I explained that I have a serious phobia of lifts, and wanted to be sure that I could operate this one. She also helped locating the T-shirt I had sent to laundry but hadn't recovered.
I got a little welcome pastry, and immediate help when I couldn't open the balcony door. The phone was always answered very promptly and I was always greeted with "Madame Vincent" which is very rare nowadays.
The room is ideal, fantastic view from balcony, very quiet compared to all other areas of Monaco.
I was so impressed that I booked for the whole duration of my forthcoming August holiday, was going to stay 4 nights in August but am now staying 7 nights in August. I would like to try the pool next time, it is very secluded and private, really inviting."
"Our room smelled like smoke - even though it was non smoking room. They offered to move us in the morning but it was a short trip
Ac was great , staff was mostly responsive
The shower was backing up , asked them to look into it nothing happened . Charging ports next to bed were not working , not fixed
Room was spacious, great view , very convenient location
This hotel can be much better with more upkeep
The rooms were very clear and comfortable"
"Magical view. Everything was spotless and the staff was so kind and pleasant. The pool was amazing. We relaxed
At the pool our entire trip during the heatwave! It was so appreciated. Loved our stay here."
"Modern clean room with AC and stunning view and large balcony. Our room didn’t have lift access so the last bit we had to carry our heavy bags up by quite a few steps. The common area have no restaurant and def needs some love and cleaning. But pool itself is clean and gorgeous view. Easy with own parking but it is on cliff so steep to drive up to and also parking on a hill essentially inside the carpark - but you get used to it. Easy walk down to store and bakery but steep walk up back to room (great cardio). Gorgeous surroundings by the sea with walk path. The only problems we had was a door malfunction making closing the door hard but somehow got fixed by itself and no wine opener (got it 24h later)."
"Le Méridien Beach Plaza is an excellent choice for families, especially if you’re traveling with kids. The private beach was the highlight of our stay and was perfect for my 11- and 14-year-old. We only had breakfast at the hotel, but it was excellent, with a great selection and quality. The bar has a nice atmosphere, though I was disappointed there weren’t any TVs since I visited during the World Cup.
The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to families who want easy access to the beach. However, if your priority is being in the heart of Monaco’s restaurants, shopping, and nightlife, you may prefer staying closer to the city center. Monaco doesn’t have Uber, and the local taxi app can sometimes struggle to find available drivers. The walk to the center isn’t bad, but during the heatwave we experienced it was uncomfortable during the day. Thankfully, evenings were much cooler, making the walk much more enjoyable."
