Excellent hotel. Location was perfect - right on the beach but also right next to the old town. Lucy on reception was so helpful and was always willing to help with anything, including lending umbrellas and chairs for the beach. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Menton.

Breakfast buffet was so good! amazing staff super accommodating… had a leak in our room and was switched rooms right away plus room upgrade! definitely more of an older folk place so if you’re here to chill and relax this is the place! also a 60 second walk to the ocean! going to miss this stay! 10/10

Waterfront hotel is what attracted us to the Balmoral. Room was small but clean. Small balcony overlooking ocean. Cleaning staff excellent and quick to do the room. Breakfast was plentiful. Breakfast room was spacious but lacked character, quite plain but large windows overlooking garden area and ocean. Hotel centrally located. Dozens of restaurants nearby. Paris Palace and Mamma Mia on the water were great, also the Fleur de Sel one. Overall, a nice stay. Would recommend for its location.

Excellent location in the old town close to lovely beaches, good restaurants and traditional bars. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful particularly the reception staff and room service . Breakfast great with lots of choices, delicious bread & yum pastries. The room was absolutely spot on , clean , good quality bed linen & a decent shower. Will definitely recommend it !

Location is excellent, direct access to the beach on one side and direct to shops on the other. We got the sea view which is worth it. Not much different from the ones with the balconies. Breakfast was excellent. Not room is smaller but well put together. No fridge but we went out most of the time. Would stay again no problem Staff are very friendly and always welcoming

My husband and I stayed here in September 2026, and we had a great time. Breakfast had the following: scrambled eggs, fresh eggs to boil yourself, jams of different flavors, fresh bread of different kind, coffee, plant based and regular yogurt, fresh fruit, nuts and seeds, orange juice, apple juice, flat and sparkling water, bacon and sausage, cheeses, hams, milk, and cereal. Very thorough. Check in and check out were fast. They allowed us to leave our baggage in the morning while we went out to return at check in. The bed was very comfortable, the room was small but it worked for us. I liked the outdoor seating. This hotel is 14 minutes away from the train station walking, and it is also right in front of the beach. The Navette stop is in front of the hotel as well. They let you borrow an umbrella which was very convenient. The staff was friendly, and spoke several languages. The hotel is not noisy, sleep was easy. The beach in front of the hotel is ok, but we preferred the beach des sablettes, so we just walked there, easy to reach by foot. Menton overall is not known as a party scene, so if that's what you are looking for, I would look elsewhere... Most of the folks staying in this hotel where 50+ I would stay here again though, I had a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful waterfront hotel

This is a stunning hotel location. Our family room had a balcony overlooking the sea. Must have been newly renovated and was beautiful. The staff were kind and helpful and breakfast buffet was good.

Wonderful Stay

Excellent stay with beautiful sea view from our room. The location is perfect with lots of restaurants around. Staff was courteous and willing to go the extra mile with our requests. Breakfast was basic - coffee with a view of the ocean was the perfect start to our day. I would definitely go back.
