Mimico Hotels near Toronto

"I wish I could say you get what you paid for but for $200, this felt like it was worth $50. You don’t expect much from 3 star or less hotels, but I at least expect a clean feeling room with working lamps and a mattress from this century. The pillows were AWFUL beyond belief. AC/Heat was all over the place. Neither of us slept and we noticed we both just felt “itchy” the entire stay. The thing that upset me the most is that they claim to have parking, and when I called ahead, I was told we could park here for our trip as well. At check in, we were told “nope, just for the night you’re sleeping, for the month of April we’re not doing that”. We were not informed or we would’ve changed hotels before cancellation fees hit. So do to that, we had to wake up an hour earlier than planned (5am), to go to park n’ fly. They couldn’t have cared less. I understand airport hotels are expensive and this is one of the cheapest, no I (& everyone else) knows why. Spend the. Extra $50-$100 and go anywhere else. Literally anywhere else. Even another BW property. Just not the carlingview. "

"The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean. However, the sofa bed was almost completely worn out and the king-size bed mattress was very sagging. They are due for new mattresses."

"It was okay. The window in the bedroom did not open; when I asked for it to be fixed, the maintenance man plainly said that he can't. They offered to put me in a different room (I have breathing issues and need access to fresh air), it was in such poor condition that I refused. The toilet wasn't securely attached and kept making a thudding noise. One of the sheets had old paint stains on it. But the room was spacious and clean and the unit had a fully stocked kitchen, which was amazing. Overall, a decent experience, but I wouldn't stay there again."

"Wonderful hotel in perfect downtown location. Staff are so friendly and helpful, with several languages spoken which is really helpful. Nicely sized room, well-equipped. Super comfy bed. Tidy and clean bathroom with excellent water pressure. Included breakfast is vast and delicious."

"Clean room, comfortable bed but no duvet covers on duvet and poor sound insulation from next room meaning sleep was disrupted. They blamed it on giving me a connected room. They gave me a late check out to 6 as opposed to 11 to make up for this but I had raised these concerns earlier. Location is excellent! "

"The building is very unique as it is in an old bank. Overall, had a good stay. However, the room was quite warm as the air conditioning was not working properly. We weren’t offered a room switch. However, I was offered a credit for the next time I stay. But not sure when I will use it as I don’t go to Toronto that often."

"The hotel is new and fresh. The breakfast selection is magnificent for a small hotel and there is something for everyone. The front desk offer a decent confectionary should you be looking for something else to snack on during your stay. There were a variety of other activities in the lobby/games area, foosball, air hockey and shuffle board. There was plenty of parking and the staff were all very friendly. My only complaint was the shuttle from the airport. They give you instructions to call once you are at the pickup spot and then there were wait times of 30 minutes. The shuttle van is quite small and was very cramped when full. "
