Middle Tennessee Inns

The main falls in rock island state park are a site to see. They stretch a few hundred feet wide! Slowly cascading down a side of a rock faced wall. It is a short but tenuous hike to see the falls. But, they are some of the best you can see in the south east. Maybe not the tallest or most water flowing, but it is a beautiful, slow, and pooling fall. As an added bonus the river it flows into is controlled by a dam, so you can at times get up to the waterfall, and at other times raft the river which I'm guessing is a class 3-4. A friend of mine has rafted it from the northern most spot to put in to the falls, and he said it was technical, he's done it a few times now.

"Room was really nice. Good smell when we entered. Bed was comfortable. Nice neighborhood, not noisy. It says 14 minutes walk to Broadway street: I’d say more 20-22 minutes. But nice site seeing. Would recommend. Breakfast was awesome: chef doing omelettes! "
