"The room was clean and had drinks in fridge and biscoff biscuits alongside tea,coffee etc Beds were comfortable and had good nights rest. Shower was good and water hot. A lovely nights sleep. There was traffic noise but didn’t affect our sleep and we slept soundly.I would stay again. "

"A very old property but well maintained a little too far ouut of town but parking was perfect and breakfast perfect as out of season mid week hotel not full so no early bar etc."

"Quirky and incredibly well designed hotel! It can’t be easy remodeling a +500 year old hotel. Location was perfect! Downtown Colchester, walkable to shops and restaurants. Modern amenities, fabulous decor, great location and incredible customer service! I really enjoyed staying in the historic hotel."
