Hotels with Balcony in Mersea Island, Colchester

"All staff were excellent and went out of their way to make our stay as good as they could. Although a modern hotel , it doesn’t really cater for us older generation. Unable to use tv in our rooms, only via apps which we couldn’t use. 1 lift was out of order and the second lift kept failing, so the staff moved us 4 guests to the ground floor. Tv still no good there. It seems to be a business hotel, so not suitable for the visiting Ipswich leisure guest. Due to the difficulties with changing rooms, the bar running out of basic drinks, it spoilt our stay. Thankyou to all the staff for doing your best."

"Wivenhoe House is the only hotel we stay every time at Colchester. we love the hotel environment with pretty of green area around, super nice staffs, great restaurants always serving good quality meals that make me want to go back every time"

"The spa and pool was excellent and the gym fantastic. Quiet location, a little out of the way. Nice room and extra large bed. Bathroom a bit dated but acceptable. Nice bar, golf course and tennis facilities including paddle courts. "

"Really great room with comfy bed and balcony with a beautiful sea view. Nb the suite is one room plus a bathroom. The food at the restaurant is amazing. Great location. Lovely staff."

"Dirty towels on the corridor floor for at least 20 hours. Room carpet badly stained. Room smelt musty and was tired and poorly equipped. Key cards kept failing and had to be reprogrammed. Communal areas were grim and unwelcoming. A very depressing stay despite the staff trying to be helpful. "

"Was Nice stay for 2 nights. 24 hrs access to the reception. Had a nice seafront view luxury bedroom . 10/10 . Staff was polite n nice. Thanks the palace hotel for your serving will visit again"
